Some legitimate websites require their visitors to install specific software. Such sites aim at providing their users with additional functionality when they do so.

Redirecting the visitors to a page that contains comprehensive details on why the software installation is required to use the site is a good example. Visitors can use this page to install the required software if they wish to continue with installation and use the site.

If your site has been labeled with a malware warning in Google’s search results, it can simply be attributed to a inadequate information to the visitors about the installation of the special software. Informing the visitors about the software and the reason to install it can resolve the issue.
