Multiple Results From A Single Domain - Providing Enhanced User Experience

In a recent update, Google announced that it has added a new feature in its search ranking algorithm. With this new feature, multiple results will now be visible from the same domain. The condition for such multiple results to appear is relevancy and accuracy of the searched term. No doubt, this additional and unique feature from Google will make a more user-friendly impact on the over all experience of a user.

Elaborating on this, we take an example of “exhibitions at amnh”. If we search this particular query in Google, we can view the top 7 results from this same domain.



The reason is the strong liking of the user for results from this particular domain. AMNH or American Museum Of Natural History conducts several exhibitions, for which the user is really interested and is looking for accurate results.

Thus, when we  search “exhibitions at amnh”, Google will display several results, all pertaining to exhibitions at AMNH, for which the user has actually initiated the query. Prior to this change in algorithm, only two results would have appeared from this domain.

To diversify the search results, other results pertaining to exhibitions at AMNH will appear after these seven results.
