How Long Does It Take For Rich Snippets To Appear On SERPs?

Rich snippets are snapshot of the content which is available on a website, which is displayed on Google search engine results. Rich snippets can be submitted through Rich snippet submission tool available in the Google webmasters tool. Now, the question may arise as to when does a RDFa mark-up, when submitted via Rich snippet submission tool appear on the search engine results.



In a recent video blog, Matt Cutts informed that currently the appearance of rich snippet may take upto one month after the submission via the tool. However, the developers at Google are working on the issue, and this time period may be decreased in coming days.

One pointer which Matt Cutts categorically stated was, users should forbid from including hidden texts in the rich snippet submission process. If the tool detects any hidden text in the rich snippet format, the submission can be rejected.
